Position Summary Information

Position Responsibilities

The Department of Interprofessional Education (IPE) invites applicants for the position of Interprofessional Clinical Scholars Grant and Projects Coordinator, which is a ranked faculty position under a 12 month full-time rolling contract starting fall of 2017. This position is focused on obtaining grants to support the Interprofessional Clinical Scholar Program (ICSP). The position is a 9 year grant supported position with opportunities to continue beyond 9 years based on grant funding. The ICSP is an innovative learning program that focuses on solving real world practice problems and was started in 2012 with interprofessional teams of faculty, students, and partners being formed every year. Team members learn about evidence-based practice and experience team problem solving that adds value to the lives of patients/residents and clinical facilities.

Responsibilities: The ICSP Grant and Project Coordinator is responsible to oversee all aspects of grant funding, including identifying grant opportunities, writing and submitting grant applications, and coordinating and managing grant funding, reporting to the Program Director for IPE. Responsivities include working with the Henrietta School of Health and the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs to research, contact, and establish relationships with potential funders and community partners. Additional responsibilities include working with the IPE faculty team to meet departmental goals, developing learning opportunities and serving as faculty for the ICSP and in the IPE department. Teaching load is primarily related to the ICSP, but may include other courses for teaching graduate and undergraduate interprofessional courses for health profession students.

Position Qualifications

Requirements: Preferred candidates will have earned a terminal degree (e.g., Ph.D., or Clinical Doctorate) in a health related discipline (e.g. occupational therapy, physical therapy, nursing, exercise science, nutrition, social work, and psychology). Will consider someone with a Master’s degree with a combination of practice, teaching, and grant experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge for grant coordination. Practice experience, teaching experience at the university level, and two or more years of grant development experience are required. Evidence of engagement in, and dedication to, conducting and publishing research and presenting at professional meetings is necessary with a strong interest in interprofessional collaboration and practice.
